2026 Conservation Incentive Program Guidelines
- Please be aware that all applications will go through a ranking period after they close, and only the highest-ranking projects will be selected for funding. We anticipate to notify all applicants of their approval status after the ranking period has concluded.
- Maximum of $20,000 per Landowner.
- Key Requirement: The landowner is required to fill out an application. If your application is approved, you’ll need to provide a W-9 form. The information on this W-9 must exactly match the details you submit in the application for the landowner/entity to ensure payment.
Purpose
Feral swine eradication is a component of an area-wide effort of assessment, control and monitoring to document and reduce resource damage caused by feral swine. Damages include impacts to native wildlife, soil health, destruction of natural areas, water bodies and wetlands, vegetative diversity, and pasture and rangeland.
Practice
The feral hog trap practice is available to any landowner in Arkansas who owns or leases at least 100 contiguous acres. You may also apply as a Co-Op that is composed of multiple properties with different owners, as long as the total acreage is at least 100 acres. Co-Op applications must comprise properties that are located within the same county.
This program allows applicants to purchase one trap for every 500 acres on the application, with a maximum of three traps per landowner. In this practice applicants must select from the list of eligible traps and must agree to record the number of feral hogs caught and dispatched with the trap(s) on the supplied AGFC monitoring app.
Landowner Payment Rate:
Landowner payments are capped at $20,000, with a reimbursement rate set at 75% of the actual cost for eligible traps and control systems. Landowners will receive two payments: the first 45%, as demonstrated by actual receipts or paid invoices, and the second payment to cover the additional 30% after the first successfully documented trap event of feral hogs using the AGFC monitoring app on any of the properties included within the application.
Required Documentation
Provide photo evidence (hogs or hog damage) that feral hogs have been documented on one of the properties included within the application within the last six months.

Monitoring
Applicants must agree to record the number of feral hogs caught and dispatched with the trap(s) on the supplied AGFC monitoring app. Also, all applicants will be required to complete an online technical training course.
